Dr Paul Kim, Member of the Board of Directors of Church Growth International (CGI) of the Yoido Full Gospel Church

Dr Paul shared about his salvation in Guam where he used to an ex-drug addict and small-time drug dealer. He got to know Jesus through Teen Challenge. A few weeks after his salvation, he shared about Jesus with a major drug dealer who later traveller with himself and Dr Yonggi Cho around the world as an interpreter.

His present net worth is estimated at 2 Billion USD. Sharing his key to success, the verse in Matt 6:33 is his life mantra – seeking FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. He cited a practical example that he and his wife decided not to buy a newer and bigger home until his church (Jubilee Christian Center) completed their building project.

To encourage the members in CHC with the building project, he shared about how Jubilee Christian Center faced tremendous opposition when they bought their land. It was just a few weeks after the land was acquired that their youth pastor was charged with child molestation of 9 children in their church and the church was saddled with lawsuits stretching many years. Once that phase was completed, because the land was barren was so long, the land had become wetlands and the government and nature lovers barred them from building on the land (10 acres) until they could buy another land bank of wetlands (of similar size) as a replacement.

Finally when the building project was completed, he bought his new home at 1.5 million which was later sold at 6 million USD.

Sharing his keys to success, he expressed 2 qualities:
Generosity - not just in finances but also in attitude and heart
Excellence – working very hard to be the best


Applying what he learnt from Dr Yonggi Cho, his office has a full-length wall for him to scribble and visualise what he is praying, believing and confessing about. Dr Paul is the largest shareholder of a company that produces 4G chips. As he prayed and wrote in his wall in Oct 2009, visualising how their 4G product would spread globally, God opened the door for a mega deal worth more than 10million in Malaysia in Mar 2010. He later found out that the company he sealed the deal with was with a group of Christian businessmen in KL.
Dr. Paul H.J. Kim is the Founding and Managing Director of Parakletos Ventures LLC [1] , a Silicon Valley venture capital firm focusing on technology investments in the US, China, Korea, and India. Dr. Kim is Chairman of the board and founding investor of GCT Semiconductor Inc, Anapass Semiconductor and Brovis Networks. Dr. Kim currently serves as an elder at Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul Korea and is head elder of Jubilee Christian Center in San Jose California. In addition, he sits on the board of the Living Stones Foundation [2] , a US Christian foundation with assets of $100 Million.
