To connect with people remember that leadership is other-minded and remember that leadership is a privilege.

People with low self-esteem are just preoccupied with themselves.

How to move people and connect with them – its like a locomotive that backs up first until it hooks up with all the other cards. Great leaders don’t expect ppl to move forward to latch onto them, they move back to where the people are at their level.

When you meet needs first, they are more willing to take action.
When you take action to meet the personal needs of your flock, the people would take action to be open to hear and fulfill your vision.

When you give first, the ppl will give in return
A paradox of leadership, the move you give in time, talent and possessions, the more it becomes multiplied.

When you connect with individuals 1on1 then you can gain attention of crowds.

A telltale sign of a leader is not what can be accomplished on his own, but what he accomplishes through people.

You need to earn the right to be followed by connecting with your people. Without earning that right, then its difficult to achieve anything of value. To earn the right to be followed, you got to touch people’s hearts. Be their friend, teacher and coach.

Your people are smart, their mind can’t embrace what their hearts can’t explain.

If you haven’t taken time to show your people you genuinely care for them, you cant be successful leading them even if motives are pure.
