Super impacted by Pastor AR Bernard this weekend.
Its so true, just attending the conference and hearing the word of God and I receive the 3 things he aimed to impart to us.
To be:
Educated
Encouraged
Empowered.
Its totally amazing the degree of the Spirit of Wisdom that God has given to him.
My mind is like so stretched hearing the truth from the word of God and it will never go back to the same size again!

Just a snippet of wat i learnt
So here Paul was at Athens, nice Greek place and interesting thing was the place where Paul shared the gospel was at AREOPAGUS
This is the highest judicial, governing body in the whole Athens. Not bad ah, he gets to preach in our modern day seat of Parliament or Washington DC.

Acts 17:22-31
Addressing the Areopagus
22 Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious; 23 for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.
Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you:
24 God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.

25 Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.

26 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,

27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;

28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’

God is in our lives! We are like a electrical appliance connected to the power socket (our power source). Without God as our source, we would have no life, we not have our being!


29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising.

30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent (to acknowledge that we have sinned and we want to be reconciled back to GOD our source),

Lets never ever think we dont need God, our very breath depends on HIM!

31 because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”

Acts 17: 34
However, some men joined him and believed, among them Dionysius the Areopagite, a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

Paul's greatest sermon impacted a KEY person here: Dionysius, a man of influence in Athens.
Dionysius means devoted to Dionysus (A greek god of fertility, revelry and entertainment)
In athens, they used to have a special festival just to honour this god Dionysus and in the festival they used theatre and arts and dramas to celebrate. This was how arts and entertainment was first started way way back, the very roots of Hollywood and entertainment now. Pagan roots. But yet this after Dionysius was impacted and became a believer, this form of entertainment became the start of Roman Theatre and thats where in histroy drama and arts were first used in the church to glorify JESUS!!!

Paul engaged and changed Culture by engaging a single person of influence!
Thats the call of every believer today to transform society by influencing pple of influence!!

Thats why when pple criticise SUN, they gotta think twice, are you able to impact and change culture like she is?
Can you transform culture, arts and entertainment world through the power of the Holy Spirit? Or are you merely retreating to a corner and being a Closet Christian, conforming to worldly standards of society.
Or can you be still RELEVANT to culture, being IN the world and not be OF the world.

Christians: We can be pure for God, live life wholeheartedly for Jesus yet still relate in fashion, arts, govt, politics, biz, to society!

Dont Compromise!
Why live for a moment of pleasure, but disobey God?
Why live to gratify the flesh, but disobey His word?
Why cleave to the world, for momentary gratification?
Why cling to a relationship that compromises the bible?
Why be attached to a person when it brings no glory to God?
Dont you know that you are of more worth to God?
Why open the doorway to destruction?
Why grieve the HOLY Spirit?
Why choose the lessen option?

Yet many in world choose the passing pleasures...

What is the point if you gain the whole world but u lose your soul?

Its when you dont know your value and worth in God that pple make the wrong choices and choose a lessen option.
