Doubt & Unbelief is different you know? || Saturday, March 11, 2006 10:34 AM
Been reading Yihan's book (Battlefield of the mind by Joyce Meyer)
Did you know that Doubt & Unbelief is different? Many a times we miss out on possessing ALL of God's promises due to these factors, these are the weapons the devil uses againts us.
Doubt = to stand in 2 ways, implying uncertainty on which way to take , said of believers whose faith is small, being anxious, thru a distracted state of mind, of wavering btw hope and fear.
This is wat the bible calls DOUBLE-Mindedness...
Matt 14:31 O you of little faith, why did you doubt?
Unbelief= disobedience
Mark6:6 And He marveled at their unbelief
A story that illustrates doubt:
Once there was a man who was in need of healing and he was praying and confessing God's word on healing to manifest in his body but while he was doing so he was at many moments attacked w tots of doubt
So it got to a pt where he felt rather discouraged until God opened his eyes to wat was happening in the spirit realm.
He saw a demon speaking lies to him, telling him that he would not be healed and that confessing the word would not work. But he also saw that everytime he confessed the word, it was like a light sword that came out of his mouth and the demon wld cower and fall backward.
WOW!
I think this particular situation described above is so common in our lives, everytime we wanna believe God for something greater, something bigger, to attempt something we had never done before, these are the ploys that the devil employs against us!
How much more we should know the wat the word says...haaa..actually thats why Word Power is real good, although YES it is tough to memorise the verses and punctuation and capital letters but its w this discipline where we have the sword of the spirit always ready yeah!? Last year after memorising so many verses wow, these verses really stayed with me...its like a hidden treasure in our heart containing God's word, God's rhema to you, in which the holy spirit brings to your mind when u are in need of it.
Yesterday led praise in CGM for first time..wahhaa... so funny... but it was fun! haa...its interesting when you lead, cos u can see everyone's faces and how they respond..like if we are singing a bit off-beat then it registers on the faces (quizzical look) and then you can sense like a the beg the pple need to get into the flow of the spirit...like they need to put away distractions and focus in on God. Yeap, praise is IMPT! cos it tunes the spirit man to the spirit realm...you can really sense when the pple are focusing or not...it registers in their faces, their attitude etc. Good thing i play guitar last time, helps a lot in leading...but funny thing is that when you have someone else to play for you..sometimes u dont know when they finish the intro and wanna start the song..haa..sometimes i miss the Que (how to spell?) to start..think I got to work on that, like which beat the song is suppose to start..cos last time when u are the one playing the guitar..u know but I think i got to listen up more. (train listening skills)
Testimony was interesting too..haa...at first only 3-4 pple wanted to share, then towards the end like 2-3 pple who forgot that they wanted to share remembered to...so had sudden influx of testimonies....so we had a good time...haaa..so many breakthrus for the caring system! BTW i do want more pple to share testimonies, esp those who never share for sometime...im sure there is at least something you can share that God has done you in yr life, to thank HIM. SO if u havent share for sometime, take a step of faith to tell others how God has blessed you k...
Zhangjian came CGM this wk! hallelujah. so happy, Pray for integration!
love,
