CGM today was great, glad that the cg is going up the next level, sense a breakthru in the spiritual atmosphere today...
really feel that God is taking me to a higher level of closeness to God, this past wk God revealed to me certain areas where he wants me to improve on..had to really forge hard and break up the fallow ground in my spiritual life to GET INTO God's presence again..
ireally wanna b closer to the holy spirit..to be in partnership with HIM
its like every decision u make, u have that partner to consult, discuss..thats really holy spirit..
so glad, been asking God wats his word for me to share in Prayer Meeting @SMU & God showed me...so happy..

For me personally, i really wanna build a cell group that exemplifies this...

1. Empowering Leadership
I wanna be a cgl who empowers my members...to fulfil ALL of God's destiny for them...not on my own strength, own influence or persuasion...but THROUGH the holy spirit my senior partner..
I wanna see my members taking more ownership of the cell group..to know God personally for themselves not just to hear Pst Kong or Sis Mingli talk about it. but experience & KNOW God for themselves..

2. Passionate spirituality
Just a side note: why suddenly so interested in this kind of analysis.cos i have been doing a lot of analysis of business cases in my TWC classs..its pretty interesting.maybe thats something i wanna do in the future to venture into business consultancy..haa. and its amazing this isnt through natural wisdom but its really with the flow of the holy spirit, WISDOM that comes from ABOVE, well since we in biz, we discuss, analyse situations & discern wat to do with our partners. i have the best partner-the holy spirit..(UNFAILABLE! talk about wow)

ANYWAY (haaa..sound like sis mingli)

Passion: fervency, enthusiasm, spirit led motivation (God isnt mild remember??)

Word of God says the effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much! (1 peter 5:16)
We saints birth things in the natural through prayer...

people are saved thru prayer
the cg grows thru prayer
mindsets r changed thru prayer
obstacles r crossed thru prayer
we received strength anointing thru prayer
we receive visions & dreams thru prayer

I want my members to have such hunger to know a new facet of the character of God
to discover new revelations in God's presence

3. Gift-based serving
Members got to learn to serve one another...its not WAT can this cell group do for me ..but rather..wat can I DO for this cell group..
The older more mature ones would take more initiative to serve the younger ones..

4. Inspiriing worship services
CGM has to SOAK in the presence of GOD...nothing can replace that..no amount of talent or verbose or charisma can replace God in our midst..

Deu 23:14 For the Lord walks in the midst of your camp(yr cg), to deliver u & give yr enemies over to you; therefore yr camp shall be holy that He may see no unclean thing among you & turn away from you.

5. Functional Structure
well chc has no problem with that..super organised for a 20,000 member church

6. holisitic small groups
CG has got to take care of the needs of the pple. but it cant be just me or the CGL, its got to be the members...we got to want to not be an insular christian (ME me ME me, my life,my sch,my work,my ministry) and start to care abt others..

7. need oriented evangelism...
ah...we all know this dont we (the caring system...bless fellowhip preach the gospel)
but its really true..of all the frens that i have brought to church...i really had to be their true fren and build close relationship...
not those whom i have little superficial relationships..but there has to be connection...
a relationship with me, GOAL==> a relationship with God..ultimately...

8. LAST but not LEAST: LOVE
4 simple letters...love is patient love is kind..a loving cg is a growing cg
nothing can replace love within christians..
its simply the love of christ that permeates our relationships with one another..
its the holy spirit that bonds us together..
1 COr 13: 4-8
love suffers long & is kind.. (kind and edifying..ie encourage sharon when she tries to speak chinese...haaha.. hey! its all for the sake of the gospel..and my members welfare that i try to speak lor..i wanna be more effective...)
