Eph 6:1-4
honor yr father & mother that it may b well with you and u may live long on the earth

God is really speaking to me about this particular area this days, so hard u know
i dont even know what this really means in a practical sense,
in theory you know : OK, so honour is a good thing to do
but yet how do u really do that in real life, when do u give in, when do u say, i need to listen, when do u know when your parents are unreasonable or overboard
i think i need the wisdom of God

its when u are at the point of becoming an adult where boundaries start to change, you are no longer children, so how then do u honour your parents?

i think from young, i've always disregarded my parents, so now when it comes to a point where i wanna change because i know its God's will, that all the old habits die hard..

through the years, i've learnt to block out voices (esp mum n dad), cos like when they quarrel, i'd just kinda plug up my ears with music, so im really good at ignoring them, even when im not suppose to, it takes a concerted effort on my part to want to change, to respond to my mum, esp if she is calling me or giving me food out of love

but most certainly God has brought me out from where i was then, stil remember when i first came to CHC, there were these sermons on manhood, about fathers and families, and i kept crying almost every week, after the service, God helped me to reconcile my relationship with them

I think all the changes got to start with meself, argh, why me first
haa.. i always wanna change my parents, through all the various means
but yet I got to change me attitude first, its been so long since God started to change my attitude towards them, to speak to them in love and respect, but yet after so many years, GOd is stil asking me to make changes, it is truly building things up from 1 level to the next, from glory to glory

god is moving me up to the next level in this area: jesus pls help me! amen
