The western wall actually isnt part of the temple walls but the outer embankment. The temple was on the mount, and it was the supporting wall on the sides of mount moriah.
Romans destroyed everything in 70AD, so all of the 2nd temple is gone. Why do pple go there to pray? cos now, there isnt a jewish temple anymore and the mount is controlled by muslim authorities with 2 mosques on top. the only remains of the temple is that western wall, so pple place there prayer requests there. Knowing that the temple is where the presence of god descended on earth...
God's revelation to me??? well, we are his living temple, we carry the presence of God, God isnt just limited to a single place. As our body is his temple, we ought to cherish the priviledge of being the dwelling place of the holy spirit.. lets honour our bodies and honour God with our actions.
