Here is a pic taken at >some where in Ein Karem (near Jerusalem)

I really like this place cos they feature a lot of stuff from the bible and show u wat the things in bible that Jesus uses to illustrate a point.

This a pic of a sheepfold in which the shepherd uses pieces of stone to build a makeshift wall beside the opening of a cave. It represents God's love, devotion, protection on us His children.

Ps 23:1-3 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness. For His name's sake.

What the shepherd does is to sleep at the door of the sheepfold (in between the wooden rods) in order to protect the sheep.

This is the kind of protection that God has over our lives. Not jus watching over us physically but also spiritually. When predators come (eg Satan), the sheep is vulnerable and cant do anything...except cry out to God (hAa..thats why sheep always go MeAAAAAaaaaaaaaahhhh) and he watches over us!

John 10: 2-4 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice;and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep he goes before them; and the sheep follow him,for they know his voice.
